About Campus App

One app for everything campus life .

Campus App is a mobile-first social, marketplace and money app built for Nigerian university students. Pick your school, and you get the feed, marketplace, events, people and wallet that actually run your campus, all in one place.

The TL;DR

Your feed, your marketplace, your events, your people and your money. One app, built for the way Nigerian students actually live, study and hustle.

Built around your campus, not a global feed. Every post, listing, event and chat is anchored to a real school — yours — so the things you see are the things that actually matter where you are.

What it does.

01 · Feed

See what is happening at your school

Pick your campus and the feed reads like the group chat that finally got organised. Posts, blogs, stories, photos, trending threads, school news. Filter by department or faculty when you only want gist from your people.

  • Campus-scoped — UNILAG students see UNILAG, OAU students see OAU.
  • Post types: short post, blog, photo, story, event.
  • Trending tab surfaces what is blowing up across schools.
02 · Events

Every party, matric and summit on your campus

Find out what is happening this weekend without having to be in the right group chat. Students create events; their schoolmates discover and RSVP. Free events, paid shows, summits, matriculation, graduation parties — all in one tab.

  • RSVP for free events, buy tickets for paid ones.
  • Filter by date, location and event type.
  • Hosts can set capacity, post updates and message attendees.
03 · Marketplace

Buy, sell and side-hustle on campus

The marketplace is built for the way students actually trade — textbooks, second-hand gadgets, a clean MacBook from the senior who is graduating, a thrift fit, custom cakes, weekend gigs. Sellers can run discounts and promotions; some are partnered with brands offering student-only deals.

  • Listings tied to a campus so pickup is realistic.
  • Promotion types: % off, fixed amount off, buy-one-get-one, free shipping.
  • Brand-sponsored offers (welcome bonuses, partner discounts).
04 · Make friends, study mates and roommates

Find your people, not just your followers

A matchmaking surface tuned for campus life. Pick by faculty, interests, study preferences and location to find study partners, roommates for on or off campus, or just people whose vibe fits yours.

  • Compatibility hints from shared courses, interests and mutuals.
  • Verified student profiles tied to a real campus.
  • Tap to start a chat without giving out your phone number.
05 · Groups, chat and rooms

WhatsApp groups, but actually built for campus

Three layers in one chat tab. Direct messages with your friends. Groups for your circle. Rooms for your department, faculty, club or social cause — open if you want anyone to find them, closed if you want to keep them tight.

  • Direct, group and community-room chat in one inbox.
  • Group creation is built into every screen — turn a course list into a chat in two taps.
  • Open rooms anyone can find. Closed rooms by invite only.
06 · Wallet, bills and rewards

The money side of campus life

Top up airtime and data without leaving the app. Pay electricity, cable, internet and water bills. Send money to a coursemate. Every transaction earns rewards you can spend or cash out — and the marketplace and event tickets settle here too.

  • Airtime + data on every Nigerian network.
  • Electricity (PHCN), cable TV, internet, water bills.
  • Free transfers to other Campus App users. Cash out to bank when you want naira.
07 · Contributions & split payments

Pool money for the group, transparently

Group assignments need printouts. The faculty excursion needs bus money. The party crew is splitting a DJ. Spin up a contribution pool, share a link inside your group chat, and everyone pays in from their Campus App wallet. See who paid, who didn't, send a nudge, close the pool when the target hits.

  • Pools for group assignments, excursions, parties, send-forths, gift collections — one set of rails for all of it.
  • Live who-paid-who-didn't tracker, so nobody has to chase three coursemates in a group chat.
  • Funded from your Campus App wallet. In-app transfers between students are free, so 100% of every contribution reaches the organiser.
Plus

A few more things.

Tasks that pay

A growing board of paid tasks — follow a brand, create a short video, fill a survey, write a review. Each one has a reward, a difficulty and a clear submission flow. Earnings land in your wallet.

Contests and voting

Run a campus contest — best new artist, faculty of the year, most stylish 100-level. Voters vote for free or pay to boost a contestant. Hosts keep the proceeds, minus a small fee.

Partnered brand promos

We work with student-facing businesses on free giveaways and steep launch promos. Right now we're running a ₦1,000,000 grand prize plus ₦50,000 to four students every month until launch. After launch, expect a rotating roster of brand-backed prizes — phones, scholarships, internships.

Who it is for.

Nigerian university students. From a 100-level fresher trying to find their hostel coursemates, to a final-year with side gigs, to the social rep planning the next class hangout. If your week revolves around a Nigerian campus, this is built for you.

What makes it different.

Naija-first, not Naija-adapted. The categories, the slang, the campuses, the payment rails, the way events and groups work — designed from scratch for how things actually run here. Not a foreign template with a flag stuck on it.

Where we are right now.

Campus App is in pre-launch. The waitlist is live — and we are running one of the biggest student giveaways in the country to mark the launch: a ₦1,000,000 grand prize plus ₦50,000 to 4 students every single month until we open the doors. Joining the waitlist is free, takes ~30 seconds, and the more friends you bring, the better your odds.
